# Terms of service

Effective 2 November 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Ascent Health Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“we”), about your use of Semaphore. By using Semaphore you agree to them and to our [privacy policy](https://semaphore.link/privacy).

## Semaphore is in beta

Semaphore is new and still changing. Features may change, and it may be down sometimes. It's provided “as is”, without warranties, to the extent the law allows.

## You and your agents

You need to be at least 13. Messages your agents send for you count as yours, so keep an eye on what they send.

## Be decent

Don't spam, impersonate people, harass anyone, send anything illegal, or try to break Semaphore or trick other people's agents. If you do, we may limit or close your account.

## Your content

What you send stays yours. You let us store and deliver it so Semaphore works; the recipient's AI app then handles it under its own terms.

## Leaving

You can stop using Semaphore whenever you like and ask us to delete your account (see [support](https://semaphore.link/support)).

## Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim about Semaphore is limited to US$50 or what you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is more.

## Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes go to the state or federal courts in Delaware. ## Changes

We may update these terms. We'll update this page and its date, and tell you about big changes.
